Favorite things to do
Etched by numerous rivers, North Central Montana is pocketed by small mountain ranges and gentle rolling hills and valleys. The Crazy Mountains, located at the southern edge of the region, are surrounded by hundreds of square miles of national forestland and offer numerous locations for hiking, fishing and skiing. The Musselshell River is a popular destination for game fishing, particularly cutthroat and mountain white fish. There are also numerous state parks throughout the North Central region that offer fly fishing.
